Holland's season over

August 12th 2008 02:12
COLLINGWOOD midfielder Brodie Holland's season is over after breaking his arm in the VFL last weekend.

Holland has played just one game for the Magpies this season with a nagging Achilles injury keeping him on the sidelines before his latest setback when a tackle went wrong playing against Werribee in the VFL on Saturday.

"Brodie broke the large radius bone just above the wrist in his right arm on Saturday," Collingwood chief of football Geoff Walsh said.

"He had a plate put in there to stabilise the affected area on Monday, and he will miss the remainder of the season."

"Brodie had worked hard to overcome his Achilles injury, and to have this happen at this time of year after battling through his rehabilitation for a long time, is shocking luck," Walsh added.
