West Coast Eagles - October 2006

Are West Coast the best team of all time?

Are the West Coast Eagles the best team of all time? Athletes seem to improve their performances (in general) over time with better training, techniques and coaching. Do you think it's the same with Football teams? Would the premiers from 20 years ago have any chance against West Coast today?

Like a lot of sports I think it is hard to compare eras. But West Coast has only won one flag, so I think we will have to wait a while yet before we can decalre the Eagles to be the greatest side of all time. Having said that, the potential is definitely there with the bulk of their spine 23 or under and with their best football still ahead of them- a scary prospect for the rest of the competition.
