Burgoyne suspended by club
July 24th 2008 07:13
PORT ADELAIDE veteran Peter Burgoyne will miss Sunday's clash against Fremantle at AAMI Stadium after being handed a club-imposed one-match ban.
The leadership group decided to suspend Burgoyne for presenting himself in an unfit manner for training approximately a month ago.
The 30-year-old has missed the past three weeks with a hamstring strain and the club decided that Burgoyne would serve his one-match suspension once fit to play.
Burgoyne will instead play for the Port Adelaide Magpies in the SANFL on Saturday.
