Burton's season over

ADELAIDE forward Brett Burton will miss the remainder of the season after the club confirmed he tore his left anterior cruciate ligament during Saturday's 32-point loss to Collingwood at the MCG.
Burton, who will see a surgeon on Monday, had his left knee buckle underneath him when he tried to change direction while contesting with Collingwood defender Harry O'Brien early in the third quarter.
Fellow forward Jason Porplyzia dislocated his shoulder during the first term, but Adelaide coach Neil Craig said it was still too early to tell how long he would spend on the sidelines.
"He's had some difficulties with [the shoulder] earlier in the year and it looks like this is the worst it's been, so we'll wait and see and keep our fingers crossed," Craig said.
