Cats promote Podsiadly

GEELONG has promoted James Podsiadly to its senior list to replace young key position prospect Mitch Brown who is on the long-term injury list.
Taken by the Cats as a mature-age rookie in last year's rookie draft, Podsiadly played all three of the club's pre-season matches this year and booted four goals.
The 28-year-old could make his AFL debut against Essendon at the MCG on Friday night.
"James is in the mix for selection and so it was an easy decision to upgrade him," Cats football operations manager Neil Balme said.
"It doesn't mean he will play this week, but he played all the way through the practice match schedule and if the match committee want him he is available."
