Clarke out for season
May 4th 2009 03:41
ST KILDA defender Xavier Clarke will miss the remainder of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament while playing in the VFL on the weekend.
The Saints confirmed on Monday that scans revealed that Clarke had suffered 'a high grade ACL'.
The injury usually requires 12 months on the sidelines but the club remains hopeful that the 25-year-old will be able to return in time for the start of next season.
