RICHMOND star Ben Cousins has been released from hospital after being diagnosed with a bout of gastroenteritis.
The 31-year-old midfielder, who will miss the Tigers' final practice match against Essendon on Saturday, underwent tests this afternoon to determine the cause of the abdominal pain which saw him admitted to Epworth Hospital on Thursday.
"Ben was found to be suffering from a slight gastric inflammation," Richmond football manager Craig Cameron said.
"He will rest up over the weekend and he will be back at training on Monday."
