THE Telstra Diome will be known as a Eithad Stadium from March 2009 after Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad Airways was announced as the new stadium sponsor for the next five years on Thursday.
Chief Executive of Melbourne Stadiums Limited Ian Collins said the new deal would greatly beneift both parties.
"Since the stadium was established in 2000, our international profile has continued to grow through the staging of many world-class sports and entertainment events, and we believe this association with Etihad Airways will assist in the continued growth of both partners," he said.
