Eagles take no action
December 9th 2006 05:32
The West Coast Eagles will not take any action against former captain Ben Cousins after he was arrested in the early hours of last Sunday morning in Melbourne for being drunk in a public place.
West Coast chief executive Trevor Nisbett spoke with Cousins today and was satisfied with his explanation of events.
In a prepared media statement the Eages said ; "The club believes that Ben has already received sufficient punishment through the public scrutiny of his arrest."
West Coast will be making no further comment on the matter.

I mean, you know they can't do anything too much to him, after all they need him in the side. But I thought they'd meke some kind of token punishment.
