The West Coast Eagles have avenged last year's grand final heartbreak and captured the club's first premiership in over a decade with a thrilling one-point win over Sydney at the MCG this afternoon.

Embley was the best out there so it was good he got the Norm Smith, he deserved it.
That is probably the last time Silvagni goes to help LRT.
Hall without a goal, that was big. It made sense for Worsfold to put someone in front of Hall, and Wirrpanda did a great job.

god - sydney cant complain after the luck they have had in the last 12 months!!!first example - sydney v geelong in one of last years finals games - about two seconds left - geelong in front by a couple of points - ball thrown in by the boundary umpire in sydneys forward pocket - ball goes straight to a sydney player who quickly kicks it on the siren through the goals for sydney to fall across the line by a couple of points.
second example - barry hall king hits a west coast player BEHIND play in one of last years finals games - and gets let off!!!
third example - sydney beat west coast by a couple of points in last years grand final.
fourth example - sydney beat west coast in one of this years finals games by a couple of points.
sydney certainly dont have anything to complain about they are the luckiest team in the afl - not only for results but for umpires decisions as well and lets not forget tribunal decisions!!!choke on that loss sydney!!!
