Fevola dumped from ad

BRISBANE forward Brendan Fevola has been dumped from the AFL's advertising campaign amid allegations that he distributed a semi-naked photo of former lover Lara Bingle to friends and colleagues.
Fevola shot footage yesterday for the commercial which is aimed at promoting the first two rounds of the home-and-away season to a Queensland audience.
But the AFL has elected to remove the former Blue from the campaign given that they are currently investigating what role he played in the Bingle scandal.
"The AFL wishes to advise that Brendan Fevola will not feature in a TV commercial to promote Rounds One and Two for the Brisbane Lions," the league said in a statement.
"The planning for the shoot of the commercial was arranged several weeks ago and was scheduled to go to air in Brisbane later this month, for the opening to the season of the Lions."
"Brendan Fevola was to be used as part of the campaign but the commercial will now go ahead without any reference to Brendan Fevola."
Fevola is being sued by Bingle after the image which was taken four years ago appeared in Woman's Day this week.
