Fevola will play: Ratten

CARLTON spearhead Brendon Fevola will play in Thursday night's season opener against Richmond at the MCG despite speculation he is struggling for fitness due to a bruised heel, according to coach Brett Ratten.
Fevola bruised his heel in Carlton's last practice match against Fremantle in Bunbury but Ratten said the injury isn't serious.
"It's just a bruised heel, he bruised it at Bunbury and it just takes a little bit of time to get over," he said.
"Imagine just trying to keep Brendan out of a game in front of 80 or 90,000 people - he will be first at the ground and the first to run on probably and he is certainly in the team."
