Five debutants for Blues

CARLTON will have five players make their debut in Thursday night's clash against Richmond at the MCG with four of them being first-gamers.
The Blues confirmed that former Melbourne utility Chris Johnson would make his club debut while ruckman Sam Jacobs, Mitch Robinson, the club's third round selection at last year's national draft and elevated rookies Aaron Joseph and Jeff Garlett will make their AFL debuts.
Meanwhile, Carlton assistant coach Mark Riley dismissed reports that star forward Brendon Fevola, who suffered a bruised heel in the club's final practice match against Fremantle in Bunbury, would be playing 'sore' against the Tigers despite being confined to some light kicking drills in less than 15 minutes on the track during Wednesday's light session.
"He'll be fine … he trained really well the last time we trained two days ago," Riley said.
"He had no worries and there was no follow up then so he's sweet."
Riley also said that utility Andrew Walker and Heath Scotland, who have endured injury-interuppted pre-seasons, were a chance to face the Tigers with Scotland the more likely to play after strong peformances in the VFL.
