Fletcher a chance to face Pies

ESSENDON looks set to be bolstered by the return of veteran defender Dustin Fletcher for Saturday's crucial against Collingwood at the MCG.
A win against the Pies would keep Essendon's slim finals hopes alive while Collingwood needs to win to keep in touch with the top four.
The Bombers remain optimistic about the prospect of Andrew Welsh recovering from conucssion in time for the clash against the Magpies. Midfielder Angus Monfries remains doubtful despite having only minor ligament damage in his foot while young forward Jay Neagle is set for season-ending ankle surgery.
This leaves the Bombers with a list of only 26 fit players, and the option of elevating another rookie, Danny Chartres.
Despite the shortage of players Essendon coach Matthew Knights said the club won't be ending Andrew Lovett's club-imposed suspension a week early.
