Gold Coast appoints McKenna
August 13th 2008 02:56
COLLINGWOOD assistant coach Guy McKenna has been appointed as coach of the Gold Coast team.
However, the former West Coast player has only been given the job for two years, meaning he's not guaranteed the position when the side enters the AFL in 2011.
McKennat, who has been with the Magpies for four years after earlier stints as an assistant with the Eagles and as senior coach of Claremont in the WAFL, has been viewed as a coach in waiting for several seasons.
