Dual Brownlow medallist Adam Goodes has capped off another stellar season by winning the Bob Skilton Medal as Sydney's best-and-fairest player in a function held at Randwick Racecourse tonight.
In the end Goodes had 37 votes to spare over Brett Kirk and classy forward Ryan O'Keefe, who tied for second place with spearhead Barry Hall just two votes back in fourth spot.
Craig Bolton followed on from his third placing in 2005 to cap another tremendous season finishing fifth in the count.
The 2006 season mirrored 2003 for Goodes winning both the Brownlow Medal and Club Champion awards.
The four senior coaches, Paul Roos, John Longmire, Ross Lyon and Peter Jonas had the capacity to award up to 10 votes to any number of players on game day.
Sydney Swans Life Membership was awarded to Jude Bolton for reaching his 150th game as a player, former player and current Swans Development Manager Craig Holden, and long time volunteer Dot Oliver.
The John Yates Award for services to the AFL Community in NSW/ACT was awarded to 74 year-old Ted Ray, a NSWAFL Life Member and lifetime Swans supporter who is the current team manager of the Sydney under16s Redbacks and was team manager of the NSW State u18s between 1969 and 2005.
