Hawthorn has secured the futures of two of its brightest prospects with Brent Guerra and Clinton Young signing new deals.
After being selected at No.3 in last year’s pre-season draft, Brent Guerra has signed another year with the Hawks.
General Manager Football Operations Mark Evans said the coaching staff was pleased with Guerra’s contribution this year.
“We are delighted he has reconfirmed his commitment to our Club for 2007,” Evans said.
Clinton Young, who earned himself a rising star nomination this year, will remain a Hawk for at least the next two years.
Young started on the Hawks rookie list at the beginning of 2005 but was elevated later in the season.
“This week’s re-signings show strong faith from the younger players who want to play at Hawthorn and confirm the direction in which the club is heading," said Evans.
