FREMANTLE midfielder Stephen Hill has been rewarded for his outstanding performanace against West Coast with the round six NAB Rising Star nomination.
Hill collected 21 possessions, had a game-high seven inside-50s and kicked two goals in the Dockers' 13-point win over the Eagles.
Fremantle coach Mark Harvey said he has been impressed by the 19-year-old's ability to slot straight into senior football.
"To play in a derby and play the way he did plus handle the pressure and the build-up to the game is a real feather in Stephen's cap," Harvey said.
"As each game goes by, he is working out more and more how he can take the game on. Players who can bring their team mates into the game have a special quality and he's got that."
Hill was taken with pick No. 3 in last year's national draft and has played all six matches this season.
