GEELONG defender Josh Hunt must wait for swelling to subside before he can decide what procedure to undertake on his injured left knee.
Hunt, who injured his knee in the first quarter of the NAB Cup grand final against Collingwood last Friday night, met with an orthopedic surgeon on Monday who confirmed the initial diagnosis of a ruptured ACL as well as minor damage to the medial ligament .
The Cats said in a statement that the surgeon's advice was "to wait two weeks for swelling to subside in the knee before performing the reconstruction".
