Johncock out for up to four weeks

ADELAIDE has suffered a blow ahead of its season opener against Fremantle with defender Graham Johncock ruled out for up to four weeks with a thumb injury.

Johncock, who was named in the Crows' side to take on the Dockers at Subiaco Oval on Sunday, sustained the injury at training on Thursday.

The 27-year-old completed the session but later experienced swelling in his right thumb.

Scans on Friday confirmed he had suffered a break.


Johncock has been replaced in Adelaide's 25-man squad by Jarrhan Jacky.
