WEST COAST midfielder Daniel Kerr has accepted a three-match ban from the match review panel for striking.
Kerr was charged with a level three striking offence for his off-the-ball hit on Richmond's Matthew White durng the third quarter of the Eagles' 77-point loss to the Tigers at Subiaco Oval on Sunday.
The panel ruled the strike as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of six activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Three offence, which equates to 225 demerit points and a two-match sanction.
Kerr had an existing bad record of seven matches suspended within the last three years, increasing the penalty by 50 per cent to 337.50 points and a three-match ban.
The 25-year-old had 76.34 points carried over from within the last 12 months, increasing the penalty to 413.84 points and a four-match sanction. The early plea reduced the penalty by 25 per cent to 310.38 points and a three-match sanction.
