King hit with two-match ban
March 8th 2010 07:44

RICHMOND tagger Jake King has been hit with a two-match ban for striking Collingwood forward Travis Cloke during a practice match at Visy Park on Friday.
King was charged with a level three striking offence after the match review panel conducted an investigation into the incident which included interviewing Cloke because the video footage was inconclusive.
Due to an existing bad record King cannot reduce the two-game sanction with an early guilty plea.
If the 25-year-old pleads guilty he will miss premiership matches against Carlton and the Western Bulldogs but if he elects to contest the charge at the tribunal and is unsuccessful he will be out for three games.
No other charges were laid from the weekend's matches.
