King to miss just one match

RICHMOND tagger Jake King will miss just the season opener against Carlton on March 25 after having his striking charge downgraded at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.
King was initially charged with a level three striking offence for his strike on Collingwood's Travis Cloke during a practice match at Visy Park on March 5.
He could have accepted a two-match ban but elected to contest the charge at the tribunal where he was risking a three-game suspension if found guilty.
King's gamble paid off somewhat with the tribunal deeming that his strike was reckless and not intentional - meaning his original points tally was slashed from 270 to 141.8 - which equated to a one-match sanction.
Meanwhile, Carlton's Aaron Joseph and Western Bulldogs veteran Nathan Eagleton have accepted reprimands for incidents in last weekend's matches.
Joseph was given 93.75 demerit points towards his future record for striking Adelaide youngster Jared Petrenko while Eagleton will have 72 points hanging over his head for attempting to trip Saint Farren Ray.
