ST KILDA utility Justin Koschitzke has been hit with a one-match ban for striking Hawthorn's Michael Osborne during the Saints' stunning come-from-behind win over the Hawks at Telstra Dome on Saturday night.
Koschitzke's second-quarter clash with Osborne was ruled as reckless conduct, low impact and high contact, equating to 125 points.
But Koschitzke's poor record meant the points tally rose to 206.25 points, which means he faces a two-match suspension if he unsuccessfully challenges the charge at the AFL tribunal on Tuesday night.
If the 25-year-old accepts the charge his tally will drop to just 154.69 points and he will only miss this weekend's clash againt West Coast at Subiaco Oval on Saturday.
Koschitzke's teammate Aaron Fiora was booked for striking Osborne but he can escape with a reprimand and just 40 points towards his future record because of his previous good record.
In other tribunal news, Essendon's Jobe Watson and Sydney's Jarrad McVeigh were both fined for making negligent contact with field umpires.
