Lions lose Leuenberger
July 15th 2008 00:52
BRISBANE ruckman Matthew Leuenberger has played his last game for the season and will undergo knee surgery this week.
The promising 20-year-old injured his right knee in the Lions' 37-point loss to Essendon at Telstra Dome on Saturday night.
Initial assessments reported the damage as minor but the 203cm-tall ruckman needs an operation to repair the lateral meniscus, which will sideline him for three months.
