Macdonald not among draft nominees

FORMER Brisbane defender Joel Macdonald is not among the list of discarded players that have nominated for the national draft.
Macdonald's decision not to nominate suggests he has an agreement in place for December's pre-season draft.
Ex-Richmond forward Nathan Brown and former Tigers utility Graham Polak are also missing from the list.
Brown formally announced his retirement yesterday while Polak is hoping to be re-drafted by Richmond in next month's rookie draft.
Among the delisted players that have thrown their hats into the national draft ring is former St Kilda duo Luke Ball and Matt Maguire, ex-Sydney premiership player Luke Ablett, former Carlton utility Cameron Cloke and experienced forward Russell Robertson who was told his services were no longer required at Melbourne after 228 games
Former St Kilda utility Jarryd Allen who retired in August because of a chronic hip injury has also nominated for next week's draft but won't play again.
The Saints intend to keep the contracted 21-year-old on their rookie list until the end of his contract.
