Magpies demolish Roos

COLLINGWOOD has continued its impressive start to 2010 with a 66-point demolition of North Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday night.
The Magpies led at every change before running out 23.19 (157) to 14.7 (91) winners.
The result leaves the Pies with a 6-1 record - their best start to a season since 1993.
The loss was made worse for the Kangaroos with young midfielder Liam Anthony suffering a serious shoulder injury in the third quarter.
Collingwood had 13 individual goal-kickers for the match - youngster Steele Sidebottom the most effective with a career-best five majors.
Heath Shaw continually set up the Pies attacking forays from the defensive half, finishing with 33 possessions in his 100th game.
Dane Swan was damaging in the middle with a game-high 38 disposals while Alan Didak (29), Dale Thomas (29) and Luke Ball (28) were also prolific.
Brady Rawlings and Brent Harvey battled hard for North, collecting 33 and 31 touches respectively while Lindsay Thomas booted three goals.
The Magpies will now take on fellow high-flyer Fremantle at Subiaco Oval next Friday night while the 3-4 Roos will clash with Adelaide at Etihad Stadium next Saturday afternoon.
