PROMISING West Coast midfielder Chris Masten has played his last game for the season and will undergo groin surgery on Monday.
West Coast doctor Rod Moore said the club believed it was in Masten's best interests to have the surgery now.
"After a mid-season surgical review it was decided that Chris needed a groin operation," Dr Moore said.
"It was a choice between a period of rest or surgery and it was decided it would be in Chris' best long-term interests to have the surgery now."
