Mooney to face Hawks: Thompson

GEELONG forward Cameron Mooney is a certain starter for Friday nighr's grand final rematch against Hawthorn at the MCG, according to coach Mark Thompson.
Thompson said Mooney was ready to face the Hawks despite the fact that he has not played in any of the Cats' pre-season matches.
"Even though he hasn't been playing he has been doing a lot of training and there hasn't been much wrong with him," Thompson said.
"Obviously it's not ideal and you would have liked him to have played one match but I imagine there'll be a lot of guys out there this weekend that have had limited preparations."
