ESSENDON forward Jay Neagle's season could be over after suffering an ankle injury in his side's heartbreaking four-point loss to Richmond at the MCG last Saturday.
Bombers team manager David Calthorpe said Neagle, who has a fracture in his ankle is likely to be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
"We will have a full diagnosis tomorrow. We believe he will probably have surgery, which will end his season, but we are still waiting for confirmation," Calthorpe said.
Meanwhile, Angus Monfries (ankle) and Andrew Welsh (concussion) must pass fitness tests to play against Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday.
