COLLINGWOOD midfielder Shane O’Bree has been fined $900 for using abusive language toward an emergency umpire during the NAB Cup quarter-final between the Magpies and Richmond on Thursday night.
O’Bree had the fine reduced from the original $1200 amount due to an early guilty plea.
In other tribunal news, Port Adelaide's Danny Meyer was cleared of any wrongdoing for his front-on contact against Geelong's David Johnson during the first quarter of Saturday's quarter-final with the match review panel ruling that no forceful high contact was made.
Other incidents deemed acceptable by the panel included Hawthorn ruckman Simon Taylor's push on Carlton midfielder Marc Murphy and Carlton defender Jarrad Waite's tackle on Josh Kennedy.
Hawthorn foward Jarryd Roughead was also cleared for his block against Carlton midfielder Nick Stevens.
