Petrie to undergo surgery

NORTH MELBOURNE vice-captain Drew Petrie will undergo surgery next week after breaking a bone in his foot at training on Tuesday.
Petrie will have a screw inserted into the fifth metatarsal in his right foot.
The 27-year-old, who was set to sidelined for the first two weeks of the season due to suspension, is expected to miss six weeks.
Kangaroos coach Brad Scott said his side had the depth in its attack to cover the loss of Petrie.
"I'm very confident we've got enough talent up there, there's no doubt about that," Scott said.
"The loss of Drew will hurt us from round three until he's available again but … we think we've got a very flexible forward line."
"We can go quite tall or quite small and we've got the Aaron Edwards (and) Corey Jones types who are in between. We've got a lot of options."
