RICHMOND forward Kayne Pettifer's season could be over after injuring his knee in the VFL yesterday.
The Tigers believe Pettifer has ruptured his ACL after he was tackled early in the first quarter while playing for VFL side Coburg.
Scans today are likely to confirm the end of his season.
Meanwhile, Richmond expects to be bolstered the return of veteran Matthew Richardson for Saturday night's crucial clash against the Brisbane Lions at Telstra Dome.
Richardson, who has missed the last two matches with a combination of hamstring and knee soreness trained strongly late last week.
