Picken to miss at least six weeks

April 12th 2010 10:53

WESTERN BULLDOGS tagger Liam Picken will miss at least six weeks with a serious ankle injury.

Picken sustained the injury in the final term of the Bulldogs' 16-point win over Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium on Sunday and will be unavailable for selection for six to eight weeks.

Dogs veteran Jason Akermanis injured his hamstring in the same match and is expected to miss two matches.

In some good news for the Bulldogs, defender Ryan Hargrave is expected to play in Saturday night's blockbuster clash with Brisbane at the Gabba after a CT scan cleared him of any serious damage to his neck.
