Porplyzia to delay surgery

ADELAIDE forward Jason Poryplzia has delayed shoulder surgery in the hope he might be able to help the Crows keep their finals hopes alive.
Porplyzia dislocated his shoulder for the third time this season during the Crows' 32-point loss to Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday.
Surgery now would have ended Porplyzia's season at a time when the Crows need all hands on deck.
Adelaide has lost its past four and will be without leading goalkicker Brett Burton for the remainder of the season after the 30-year-old ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the loss to the Magpies.
Crows club doctor Andrew Potter confirmed Porplyzia will spend the next two to three weeks trying to rest and rehabilitate the joint.
It is hoped that he will be available for selection in round 19 when the Crows play Richmond at AAMI Stadium.
