Power under investigation

May 3rd 2010 10:08

PORT ADELAIDE are under AFL investigation over a $20 bet made on a 2009 NAB Cup semi-final.

The wager involves a multi-bet involving the pre-season match - which did not involve the Power - and two English Premier League matches.

Port football manager Peter Rohde said in a statement both the club and the AFL were investigating the source of the bet.

Rohde said the bet had not been traced to any individual, but it was hoped the investigation would be completed by the end of the week.

AFL players and coaches are prohibited from betting on AFL matches regardless of whether their team involved.
