Primus in hot water over bet

PORT ADELAIDE assistant coach Matthew Primus is in hot water over a bet made on a NAB Cup match last year.
An investigation conducted by the AFL and the Power found that Primus placed a $20 multi-bet on a NAB Cup semi-final match between Geelong and Carlton and two English Premier League matches.
"I take full responsibility for the placing of the bet," Primus said in a media statement on Tuesday night.
"It was not my intention to bet on an AFL game, but I am well aware of the AFL rules and will accept any sanction imposed."
Port football operations manager Peter Rohde said the club would liaise with the AFL in relation to an appropriate punishment for Primus.
