Proud free to play

February 26th 2009 00:09
BRISBANE LIONS midfielder Albert Proud will line-up against Essendon in Friday night's NAB Cup quarter-final at Telstra Dome despite being subject to criminal proceedings.

The 20-year-old is still under investigation by police after he allegedly glassed a female patron at a Gold Coast bar on January 31.

But the Lions said on Wednesday night that its club-imposed ban on the 20-year-old had been lifted.
