Proud suspended

BRISBANE midfielder Albert Proud has been suspended indefinitely by the club after being charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.
The 20-year-old, who is alleged to have thrown a glass at a Gold Coast bar last Saturday night that resulted in an injury to a female patron, has also been stood down from the AFL Indigenous All-Star squad to play Adelaide in Darwin on Saturday until the club completes its investigation.
The Lions said in a statement that Proud has fully cooperated with the police and deeply regrets his involvement in this incident.
