Renouf accepts

HAWTHORN ruckman Brent Renouf will miss crucial matches against Sydney and St Kilda immediately following the mid-season break after accepting a two-match ban for striking West Coast tagger Adam Selwood.
The match review panel ruled his errant elbow to the head of Selwood as reckless conduct, high impact and high contact, which equated to 325 demerit points and a three-match suspension.
But because Renouf entered an early guilty plea the ban was reduced to two matches.
The loss of Renouf is a major blow for the Hawks who are already without No. 2 ruckman Simon Taylor (lacerated knee) and young ruckman Max Bailey, who will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.
However, the Hawks are hopeful that Taylor, who has missed the past three matches will be fit to face the Swans at the MCG.
In other tribunal news, Hawthorn trio Lance Franklin, Trent Croad and Mark Williams accepted $1200 fines for engaging in a melee against the Eagles at the MCG on Friday night as did West Coast pair Darren Glass and Adam Hunter.
Carlton forward Brendan Fevola also accepted a $3000 fine for wrestling after pleading guilty to his third such offence.
