Riewoldt collects record fifth B&F award

ST KILDA captain Nick Riewoldt has collected a record fifth Trevor Barker Award as the Saints' best-and-fairest.
Riewoldt, who led the club to a 20-2 win-loss record for the season before losing to Geelong in last week's grand final, polled 642 votes to win the top gong ahead of utility Brendon Goddard (638) and wingman Leigh Montagna (635).
Classy midfielder Nick Dal Santo finished third with 618 votes while vice-captain Lenny Hayes (603) rounded out the top five.
Riewoldt's victory sees him overtake St Kilda games record holder Robert Harvey and club champion Bill Cubbins, who won four best-and-fairest awards apiece.
The champion centre half-forward booted 78 goals and took 231 marks in 24 games in 2009.
He earnt All-Australian honours for the fourth time this year and was also named captain of the side.
In other awards, defender Zac Dawson was named the most promising new player while tagger Clinton Jones won the Robert Harvey most professional award.
Meanwhile, Saints retirees Max Hudghton and Jarryd Allen were recognised for their services to the club.
