Riewoldt wins nomination

RICHMOND forward Jack Riewoldt has been rewarded for his impressive performance against West Coast with the round 15 NAB Rising Star nomination.
Riewoldt booted a career-best five goals in the Tigers' 77-point win over the Eagles at Subiaco on Sunday, including three of his side's 11 goals in a stunning second term.
The 19-year-old said the delivery from the midfield allowed him to have an impact.
"I was against Adam Hunter for most of the day, but our midfield dominance really helped us out, and it led to me kicking five and Nathan Brown kicking four and Mitch Morton three.
"Our clearance work really helped out the whole side, and it helped us out having more inside 50s than them."
He was selected by Richmond with pick 13 at the 2006 draft after playing strong senior football in the VFL for Tasmania and representing the state at the NAB AFL Under 18 Championships.
Riewoldt, who is the cousin of St Kilda skipper Nick Riewoldt, has played 19 senior games in total – 11 of which have come this year – and said Coburg coach Jade Rawlings had played a major role in his development.
He also said that getting a consistent run at AFL level has helped his form.
"This year, I've had two stints in the seniors where I've played eight games in the first stint, and then I went back to Coburg for a week and then came back in," he said.
"It's a bit more settling to know, coming into the weekend, that I'm going to be playing in the seniors and not being hesitant about it.
"It's good to have that stability."
Richmond coach Terry Wallace said Riewoldt stepped up in the absence of veteran Matthew Richardson.
"Jack, along with our other young forwards continues to rise to the challenges week in week out," Wallace said.
"He is a good influence among the group and he is highly regarded by his peers."
