NORTH MELBOURNE has snapped an eight-game losing streak against Adelaide with a nine-point win at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
Leading by 54 points at three-quarter time, the Kangaroos appeared to be on course for a percentage-boosting win but the Crows slammed on seven unanswered goals to cut the deficit to less than two straight kicks with 37 seconds left in the contest.
However it was too little too late as the Roos held on for a 12.12 (84) to 11.9 (75) victory.
It was North's fourth triumph of the season while Adelaide has just one win to its name after eight matches.
Kangaroos big man Todd Goldstein was dominant in the ruck with 41 hit-outs while skipper Brent Harvey (24 possessions, three goals), Andrew Swallow (29, two goals) and Daniel Wells (25) were also influential.
Brady Rawlings racked up a game-high 37 disposals from half-back while Michael Firrito also won plenty of the football.
For the Crows, skipper Simon Goodwin (27) tried hard all night while Tony Armstrong (25) was a busy contributor.
