The Kangaroos are pleased with the outcome of the 2007 season draw, with many of their requests being granted, according to acting chief exeuctive Rob Ewart.
“We are excited by the opportunities our draw creates both in Melbourne and on the Gold Coast,” Ewart said.
“We requested as many home games as possible early in the season which we received and it’s great to have blockbuster scheduled against Collingwood to start the season.”
Ewart said the Friday night clash against arch-rival Essendon was also a highlight of the 2007 draw.
“We believe that the draw suits us from both a football and commercial point of view given that we do not travel in the final month of the season and that our Sunday matches late in the year allow our training and recovery structure to remain settled."
