Roos too good for Dees

NORTH MELBOURNE has ended Melbourne's three-match winning streak with a 26-point win at Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Kangaroos led by 46 points at the five-minute mark of the third term but the Demons lifted their rating and slammed on the last six goals of the quarter to reduce the deficit to just 14 points at the final change.
But any hopes the Dees had of pulling off a come-from-behind win were quickly snuffed out by the Roos with a Liam Anthony goal in the opening 30 seconds of the final stanza followed by a David Hale major just four minutes later.
North's 15.14 (104) to 12.6 (78) victory was their seventh straight over Melbourne.
Brady Rawlings racked up a team-high 25 possessions while Daniel Wells (24) and Leigh Adams (23) were also influential in the middle.
Hale and youngster Sam Wright booted three goals apiece.
For the Demons, Brad Green booted four goals while Jack Grimes (33 possessions) and Cameron Bruce (32) tried hard all day.
