Schammer to contest

FREMANTLE midfielder Byron Schammer will face the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night after electing to contest his one-match ban for striking.
Schammer was charged with striking Carlton's Marc Murphy during the Dockers' seven-point win at Gold Coast Stadium last Saturday night.
The incident was assessed as intentional, low impact and to the body, meaning Schammer was hit with 125 points which rose to 195.31 points because of past record.
Schammer is not risking a heavier suspension by challenging the charge.
In other tribunal news, North Melbourne small forward Lindsay Thomas accepted a reprimand and 60 points towards his future record for striking Port's Steven Salopek and Geelong ruckman Shane Mumford accepted a $1950 fine for making negligent contact with an umpire.
Meanwhile, the AFL is still conducting its review of Monday night's game between Collingwood and St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.
