Seaby out for up to three months

May 3rd 2010 05:36

LADDER leaders Sydney have been dealt a major blow with ruck recruit Mark Seaby ruled out for up to three months with an ankle injury.

The former Eagle sustained the injury in the opening minute of the Swans' 20-point win over Brisbane at the SCG on Saturday night.

He will undergo surgery on Tuesday and be on the sidelines for 10 to 12 weeks.

Sydney coach Paul Roos said either young forward Jesse White or Canadian Mike Pyke would support Shane Mumford in the ruck in the clash against Geelong at Skilled Stadium on Sunday.

Meanwhile, promising youngster Daniel Hannenbery (dislocated shoulder) is rated a 50-50 chance to play against the Cats while Jude Bolton (concussion), Jarred Moore (leg) and Ted Richards (leg) are expected to be available.
