Stevens to contest
March 17th 2009 03:26
CARLTON midfielder Nick Stevens will contest the striking charge laid against him at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.
Stevens, who faced a one-match ban for striking Fremantle youngster Nic Suban had he accepted an early guilty plea, risks a two-match ban if found guilty.
Meanwhile, Melbourne's Clint Bartram has accepted a reprimand for making forceful front-on contact with Bulldog Daniel Giansiracusa during last Saturday's NAB Challenge match at Casey Fields.
