Thompson penalised by Crows, court

ADELAIDE midfielder Scott Thompson has received a suspended sentence for injuring a friend in a car crash.
Thompson was ordered to serve a 12-month licence disqualification and sign a $50 good behaviour bond.
The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to one count of causing serious harm by dangerous driving, and one count of leaving an accident scene after causing serious harm.
Magistrate Paul Foley gave Thompson a suspended four-month prison term for the offences.
Adelaide also imposed its own penalties after consulting both the leadership group and behaviour committee.
The former Demon was fined $5,000 by the club and forced to undertake 50 hours of community service.
