THE decision to recruit self confessed drug addict and former West Coast captain Ben Cousins has already paid handsome dividends for Richmond with the club announcing on Wednesday that it has set a new membership record.
The Tigers' current membership tally stands at 31. 052 compared to last year's 30,800.
Richmond chief executive Steven Wright said the club is hoping for even more members to come on board.
"It is very exciting time at the club and we're really pleased that our passionate supporter base is taking this journey with us," Wright said.
"We still have a number of members who are yet to renew, so we encourage them to get on board to ensure we can reach our goal of 35,000 by June 30 and hopefully 40,000 in the not too distant future."
